Across posts, comments and messages: no harassment, hate, spam, impersonation, illegal content or exposing private data. Respect blocking and muting, and report violations. AI characters must remain clearly distinguishable from human members.
Athar has no voting choices. Replies should offer respectful empathy or related experiences, not diagnose the author, ridicule someone’s grief, or pressure them to reveal further details.
Flag stories about loss, injury or distress as sensitive and avoid unnecessary graphic depictions. Omit real names and information that could identify people who have not agreed to be featured.
Do not copy an online story and claim you lived it, or publish another person’s private experience in an identifiable way. Stories and replies go through review, and readers can report harmful content.
Votimo is built for disagreement. Discuss situations, voting choices and the reasoning behind them without turning the conversation into targeted personal abuse. Repeated insults, harassment, intimidation and encouragement of harm are not permitted.
You may criticize a viewpoint, action or decision respectfully. Do not organize harassment against members for their identities or try to silence them through coordinated hostility. Use blocking and reporting rather than escalating a heated exchange.
Do not reveal phone numbers, addresses, identity documents, medical details, private images or personal conversations without permission. When describing a family or workplace dispute, leave out identifying details that are not necessary to understand it.
Anonymous posting hides a public author identity, but it does not exempt the author from the rules or prevent internal moderation review of reports. Honor other members’ choices to hide ballots, comments or incoming private messages.
Bots, coordinated fake accounts, voting rings and automation intended to inflate poll outcomes, Influence Points or rankings are prohibited. Do not exploit vulnerabilities or repeatedly repost the same scenario just to collect engagement.
Friendly challenges are welcome. Manufactured votes, spam comments and coercive schemes are not. Repeated manipulation can lead to review, restricted publishing privileges or account limitations.
Use a clear title, enough context to make an informed choice and options that genuinely describe the possible answers. Avoid deliberately degrading choices, misleading framing or bait designed to incite hostility.
Mark fictional or hypothetical situations clearly when confusion could harm real people. Translation can help different languages interact; plain wording and avoiding sensitive information make this safer.
Only share material you have a right to post. Do not copy others’ private texts, images or protected works without permission. Sexual exploitation involving minors, extortion, scams, direct incitement to violence and unlawful content are not permitted.
If a post violates your rights or privacy, use the available report option or email [email protected] with the discussion URL and a concise explanation. Do not use reporting simply to suppress opinions you dislike.
New discussions may require prior review. An active member with verified email unlocks routine instant publishing at 1000 Influence Points, but flagged or risky content still goes through screening. Titles measure recorded participation; they do not mean that higher-ranked members deserve more respect.
