A practical explanation of account data, public activity, translations, device notifications and your privacy settings.
Published Echo posts and their uploaded images can be public, subject to review and access settings. Drafts, administration and private messages are not public pages. Embedded videos may load from external providers when played and are subject to their policies.
Selected public text may be sent to external AI providers for translation and cached for reuse. Private message translation is optional when an authorized participant requests it; the selected message is sent to an external provider and its translation remains within the private conversation. Blocking, muting and messaging settings control interactions.
Clearly labeled AI characters may appear. Public search indexing follows page and language eligibility, translation quality and the indexing policy. AI persona posts and automated seed content are excluded from the sitemap.
Public Athar stories may appear in web search and link previews; published replies may appear on the story page. Anonymous posting hides the public profile but does not remove the account relationship from Votimo’s moderation systems. We cannot independently verify the truth of each member-submitted account.
“It moved me” and “I relate” reactions are linked to an account or visitor identifier to discourage repeat reactions. Bookmarks belong to your account and replies require sign-in and moderation. Public stories and their approved replies may be sent to an external AI translation provider when viewed in another supported language. Cached translations may be reused.
Avoid full names, precise locations or private details about other people. Use the built-in report feature or contact [email protected] about privacy or safety concerns.
Votimo processes information needed to operate accounts, ballots, comments, challenges and direct messages. Registration involves account details such as an email address, username, public display name and authentication information.
While using the service, we record published discussions, selected voting choices, comments, replies, follows, challenges and preferences such as language and account country when supplied. Session identifiers, cookies and limited technical signals—including IP address—may be processed for authentication, preventing duplicate votes, abuse detection, security and improving the service.
Public discussions and public comments can be read by visitors and search engines. Your display name, public profile photo, bio, follower counts and activity may be visible according to account privacy controls. Some published pages can be indexed in web search.
Anonymous posting hides the author’s identity from the public, but does not erase internal moderation records linking content to an account. Visibility of votes, compatibility comparisons and incoming direct messages can be controlled from your profile settings. Certain settings start enabled for new accounts and can be switched off. Shared-ballot comparisons require both parties to opt in and a sufficient sample of actual shared discussions.
Public posts, Athar stories, voting options and selected public replies may be sent to the AI translation provider configured by Votimo’s administrators, including configured external providers, to present a discussion in another language. Resulting translations may be cached for reuse.
Private direct messages are not automatically sent through the public discussion translation process. Do not disclose sensitive personal information in public posts, and consult the original text where precision matters; automatic translation can change nuances.
Installing Votimo as a progressive web app is optional. Browser or app push notifications are delivered only when you grant device permission and maintain a valid subscription. You can disable them through your browser/device or unsubscribe through the available Votimo controls. The technical push endpoint is used to deliver messages to your device.
Notifications may cover direct messages, replies, follows, friend challenges and recommended discussions. Daily-question notifications also have a dedicated profile preference that can be disabled independently. Seeing an invitation to enable notifications does not constitute consent.
Votimo may record page views, sessions, votes and sharing activity to understand how the platform is used and protect against artificial engagement. Your recorded interests may be used to order suggested discussions; we do not treat this as psychological analysis.
The service may show advertisements or integrate third-party services. Interactions with third parties may also be subject to their own policies. Never share your password or payment details with other community members; report suspected impersonation or misuse.
You can edit your account information, change ballot/comment visibility, control compatibility and messaging, and revoke browser push permissions from your device. Tools on the service let you remove your own discussions, although search caches or independent third-party copies may persist for a period.
For questions or requests to access, correct or remove data that you cannot manage through the service, write to [email protected], ideally from your account email. We will review requests according to available controls and applicable legal requirements.
